Weekly Weight Watchers Weigh In: Frustrating.

I don't even want to type it because it's so pathetic.  I lost .2 lbs and this after burning 2011 calories exercising by walking and jogging 14.4 miles.  What the heck??!!!  I didn't even eat my activity points but I did eat my 49 weekly allowance points.

I'm not even sure what to make of it.  I totally want to blame my PCOS because it shouldn't be this hard to lose weight!!  So I'm going back to square one.  I'm going to dive into the weightwatchers.com website, find some meal plans and measure and weigh everything single thing (like I'm supposed to do anyway but when I weigh a potato or chicken breast one day, 2 days later I eyeball it, same thing with pasta) and see if this week I can get this body of mine to show me what it's made of!    I'm also going to reread the PCOS diet book, I didn't like it the first time, but I need to figure out why my body is really holding on to this weight.

Last week was such a worse eating week with almost  non-existent exercise and this week was the opposite and I lost .6lbs less than last week.

All I can really say is at least it isn't a gain, I'm losing every week but .2 lbs is just sucky:(  But I leave you with these photos of our Easter Bunny cookie decorating from this afternoon!

  1. Oh Brandi I feel your pain with this weight loss thing. I have hit a standstill and it is sooo frustrating ;o( Even when I eat way less the weight just doesn't shift at all. I am seriously considering going back to my doctor and asking to be put back on Metformin again because at least I felt and looked better then. It is ok to blame it on PCOS (I always do!)

    PS - OMG How adorable is your little Easter bunny, and he looks like you on that sexond picture!! Just gorgeous.

  2. Hi Shel! I went back through the rather boring PCOS Diet book and read up on eating carbs through out the day and how much so I'm going to try it along with weight watchers. Otherwise at my June OB appointment, I'm going to ask about Metformin and see what my doctor thinks about it.

    I think I just need to hook myself up to a liposuction machine and have them work some magic!!

  3. Brandi- Ive been following you for awhile now, and i undestand your frustration with losing weight! Believe me! i started WW in october, and it has really worked.. after working my butt off in the gym EVERYDAY at first i saw NO difference on the scale.... give your body time to get used to it.. im almost POSITIVE its water (its trying to repair muscles you have used) :-) it takes time but it will be so worth it!! we can be WW buddies!! :-)

  4. I thought it could be water too but then I thought it was probably more I understimated points or serving size, who knows! But I don't think my body is telling me to stop exercising:) So glad you are doing WW too!! Good luck on your weight loss journey also!

  5. Keep going! Don't give up! Here are some tips I found that worked- Set a goal to only eat X amount of flex points. If I eat all your points flex and daily I ususally do not see a loss. If I tell my self that I am only eating 1/2 or 10 or whatever i see better results. Def. eat all of your daily allowance, but try not to use the entire 49. It will challenge you to be more cautious with your food too! Good Luck brandi! I know you can do it girl!!!

  6. Brandi, how are you doing this week? Just wanted you to know I quit my blog but I'm still reading yours :) and all the others. I had to get this baby stuff out of my head and just had to quit for me. I also started sparkpeiple this week and I'm loving it. Maybe you should give it a try? I realized that new ww program is way too flexible for me. I think some of us just can't have much wiggle room unfortunately. I'm doing a comparison this week with spark people and WW and each day I still have about 5-10 daily points left and have used 0 of my weekly allowance points. So far this week, I started Monday, ive lost 2 lbs.! I feel fuller, I'm eating more fruits veggies and have gotten rid of all my snack (ww bars, fiber one bars, granola bars) etc. I also only exercised two days (50 min. Walks) I also compared the food intake with spark people and the old WW program which is how I lost 50 lbs. And it's almost the same. U should check it out. I just decided this year is about ME not about baby. It was a tough decision to make but in the end, I'm way happier about it now. Talk to you soon!

  7. @Annie, I totally agree, I think the weekly allowance is what trips me up:( I honestly think to have any good weight loss, I'm going to have to probably only eat 1/2 of my allowance unless I hit a plateu and then I'll have to tweak it.
    @Vicky, Oh this week has not been stellar by any means. I tried spark people once, I just have to get in the zone and focus on my goal. Please keep in touch so I know how you are doing!!

  8. Hi Brandi, I will definitely keep in touch. I know it's so hard to work so much towards something and see no results. It is so defeatingnbut don't give-up! I havent budged past the 13 pounds I lost since the beginning of the year. I had to try something NEW and do my best to stick with it. I dont know if you're a religious person but prayer has helped a lot this week. You're definitely in my thoughts ! Talk to you soon!
